  • Son of William and Emma Beaumont, of 344, Strone Rd., Manor Park, Essex.
  • Brother of Freund Beaumont, Assistant Paymaster, HMS Laurentic, Royal Naval Reserve.  who died 25th January 1917, aged 30. HMS Laurentic was travelling to New York with a cargo which included a substantial quantity of gold bullion when she struck a mine off Lough Swilly on the northern coast of County Donegal, Ireland and sank with the loss of 350 persons. The bullion was later recovered.
